What is FFA?

FFA stands for Free Freight Allowance. Your freight cost will always show on your invoice. If you pay within the terms of your invoice you may deduct the freight cost from your payment.

What is your minimum order amount for a first order?

The minimum amount for a first order is $250. For smaller stores, we're okay with $150. But please note that the shipping on a case is 15% and there is no “first order” FFA* for either Canada or the US below $250.00

How many PlasmaCars must I order at one time?

You must order at least two case packs (8 units) of PlasmaCars at one time.

How do PlasmaCars come packaged?

PlasmaCars come unassembled and in case packs of 4. Each PlasmaCar is packaged in a clear plastic bag along with a hex key and assembly instructions.

How difficult are PlasmaCars to assemble?

PlasmaCar assembly is quite simple. The PlasmaCar will arrive in 5 pieces – the body, including the seat, the steering wheel assembly, the front wheel assembly and two rear wheel assemblies. Assembly instructions are included with each PlasmaCar and assembly should take under 7 minutes per car. You will need a 17mm socket wrench as well as a rubber mallet.

How much freight will I be charged on my order?

For orders shipping in the continental United States, freight charges will be capped at 10% of the value of your order for orders over $250. Please note that for special pricing, the freight charges will be calculated on the original price, not the special.

Can I choose the colors of PlasmaCars that I want in my case pack?

Our PlasmaCars come in case packs of four. You may order solid case packs of one of our six colors (blue, red, green, purple, pink, and yellow) or an assorted case pack (red, blue, green, and purple). The assorted case pack comes with the four colors listed and cannot be changed.

Do you offer retailers anything to help merchandise the PlasmaCars?

PlaSmart has several items to help you merchandise PlasmaCars. We offer a display stand that holds 8 PlasmaCars and has a banner advertisement at the top. We have an LCD player that is preloaded with a PlasmaCar video loop as well as PlasmaCar posters and DVDs.

Do PlasmaCars work on carpet?

No, PlasmaCars do not operate properly on carpet or any other surface that has any ‘give’ such as grass or gravel. They must be used on a smooth, hard, flat surface to work best. Although they function very well on hardwood and laminate flooring, we do not recommend that the PlasmaCar be used on this type of surface as the plastic wheels might have a tendency of scratching the finish.

Can an adult ride a PlasmaCar?

Yes, on a smooth, flat surface, the PlasmaCar can hold any person weighing up to 220lbs.

What is the recommended age for PlasmaCars?

PlaSmart recommends the PlasmaCar for children 3 to 103! Although the PlasmaCar is often used by children who are younger than 3, they have not yet developed the understanding of cause and effect and will tend to push the PlasmaCar with their feet, rather than turn the steering wheel back and forth to make it go. The PlasmaCar also has small parts that can be a choking hazard to a young child.

Do you offer exclusivity to retailers?

No, we do not typically offer exclusivity to retailers.

Does PlaSmart ship internationally?

I saw a product that looked the same as yours. Does the PlasmaCar have imitations?

Yes, there are several imitations that come under such names as Wiggle Car, Wiggle Racer, Roller Coaster Car, Twist Car and Skitter Car. The plastic cap, at the center of the steering wheel, is most often red, but can also be lavender or white. These products are usually sold at festivals, kiosks and on websites - temporary situations that  make it very difficult to contact the seller, once they have left. These imitations do not come with any service or warranty, nor do they supply replacement parts. There is only one authentic PlasmaCar that offers service and a warranty and we do not support or sell replacement parts for these imitations.

Does the PlasmaCar have a warranty?

The warranty for the PlasmaCar is 6 months against manufacturer defect from the date of purchase.

Fixing your PlasmaCar

How can I get a replacement part for my PlasmaCar?

Please contact our customer service department by phone at 877-289-0730 or by email at customerservice@plasmacar.com.
All parts are replaceable, including the seat. The only part that cannot be replaced is the body of the PlasmaCar itself.

How do I replace the seat on my PlasmaCar?

The seat on your PlasmaCar can be easily replaced by using a no. 2 Phillips screwdriver to loosen the three recessed screws located at the back underside of the PlasmaCar. The seat will easily lift off. Replace it with the new seat and re-tighten the screws.

The steering wheel no longer controls the front wheels on my PlasmaCar. Can this be repaired?

Yes. The steering wheel might have simply come loose. Remove the plastic cap at the center of the steering wheel, and with the steering wheel aligned with the front wheels, tighten the nut below with a 17mm socket wrench. This will pull the head of the bolt up into the expansion joint, causing it to spread and grip to the inside of the metal column of the front wheel assembly. To view how the steering hardware fits together, please download our assembly instructions. If re-tightening the nut does not solve the problem, because the threads on the bolt are stripped, you will need to order a ‘knurled flange expansion cartridge’.

Are the small, front wheels supposed to touch the ground?

No. They are stabilizers used in helping to balance the PlasmaCar and are not meant to touch the ground.

Are the small, front wheels supposed to spin?

No. They are stabilizers used in helping to balance the PlasmaCar. They should not touch the ground or come into contact with anything else. As a secondary function, they help to protect the nose of the PlasmaCar should there be an impact with the ground or a curb. The small, front wheels can be replaced but the nose of the PlasmaCar cannot.

I lost my PlasmaCar assembly instructions. How can I replace them?

For your convenience, we have our PlasmaCar assembly instructions available for download from our website.
